About This Journal
Journal of Agricultural and Marine Sciences (JAMS) has been published by Sultan Qaboos University since 1996. It serves agricultural and marine sciences by disseminating scientific and technical knowledge. The journal is intended to serve a wide range of specialists and bring together quality papers dealing with agricultural economics, natural resource economics, animal and veterinary sciences, bioresources, soil sciences, water management, agricultural engineering, fisheries, aquaculture and marine sciences, food science, human nutrition, plant production, plant protection, rural environment, and coastal zone management. The journal intents to promote the advances of agricultural science education and research, and emerging technology in the Arab region and international scientific community. The papers should highlight new hypothesis, novel methodology, data analysis, innovative ideas in basic and applied science. It is a peer-reviewed and open access journal.
Journal History
JAMS originated from the former Agricultural Sciences, which was first published in 1996. The journal name was changed to Journal of Agricultural and Marine Sciences in 2002; the journal with new name was first published in 2003. The journal was first published in an open access format in 2016. It is indexed by several international databases, attempted to attract an increasing number of papers from the regions and international researchers.
